Does this ant have the ability to run fast? Although it always looks slow mo when filmed... and have a super bionic eye? The 6 Million Dollar Ant! Probably more with inflation...

I started tying my flies today. For the dropper: size 14 bead head
Tail: Australian opossum guard hairs
Abdomen: Australian opossum underfur
Rib:fine gold wire
Thorax: strung peacock herl
Wing case: turkey tail fibers
Hackle: partridge

I’m really not good at production tying, but sat down and cranked out a batch over two days. Lawd knows we don’t need anymore ant patterns, so I went with another classic, catches-trout-anywhere-anytime fly; the Pheasant Tail.

I got my droppers done on friday, just need to get my dries done, which are naturally the harder ones.

Based on how this brookie creek was for a short session I was getting concerned that the dry I sent in for the swap doesn’t work anymore… it did eventually and got some nice ones, they were just cold and being cranky.
