Thinking about getting into the stillwater game, using a float tube. Besides cast and retrieve I'm a novice. Is there a definitive book, or Y Tube channel that would get me started correctly in the many aspects of this game. Mason and Thurston Co. would be my target area, if that matters. Any insider info. would help...thanks..

I've been working on lake fishing recently. I just reviewed @Tim Lockhart 's stillawters simplified again saturday night, and put it into action today.

Now a lake can be overwhelming when first viewed, but there is structure to focus on (I've also seen this this empty so know it well). View from the tube.

look for sign, risers, or there were swallows picking midges and raptors fishing. fish there.

Go into search mode looking for fish with a sinking line and a leech until you get a bump

Once you find fish go to harvest mode (focus not necessarily kill).

When the fish move or everyone nearby has seen your stuff move back into hunt mode until you relocate fish.

You’ve got some good options down your way, not only for trout but warmwater species as well.
