Desperate times....skipping Football for Fishing

At least it was a great day on the river!

I saw the sun rise...

I saw sheep....

I saw some native species infringing on my territory...

I saw some cool colors....

I even saw a cock in the wild....

I hope that it's not just me that wishes I could have figured out a way to 'harvest' that rooster....damn, all those feathers!

Ya, I bet those big shimmery ones at the base of the tail would be killer on one of your musky flies.

Love the purple colors on those whitey scales.

I was thinking more about all those feathers on the long neck water “chicken”

or the neck feathers.....or, for [insert big-ass predator feesh here]......I would use that entire hide for flies!

It was super weird lighting and I just happened to catch it right while zooming in....lol

I fought through the wind to fish yesterday so I could stay home and watch the game. I regret nothing, but if JSN caught that pass I'm sure I would...

Thanks for that! it's always good to smile out loud.
