Deschutes - Salmonfly Status?

How are the ticks down there this year? I’ve heard it’s going to be a bad year for them in the PNW.

I got a couple on a warm day late February. Outside if that, none for me.

I wet waded most days and slept on a cot under a tarp and none for me. I was keeping an eye out for them though. Any day now the weather is going to turn and its going to explode!

Thanks everyone for the info. I got back on Monday. We got lucky it warmed up on Friday and Saturday and the hatch kicked off while we were there. Just the beginning of it but the fish were looking up and we were able to have a pretty solid weekend of fishing. If you are headed down there in the next week or so you will be in great shape.
