Just use some of your old steelhead crap. Instead of the swivel rig just keep the surgical tubing bare and hook your fly into the tubing. Works like a charm, cheap, easy, foolproof, won't break the bank if you lose it.

Yes. Yes. I recently discovered tubi thru or provider. (Comcast ). Series on there called ‘ The New FlyFisher’, while I have enjoyed it … noticed in the 8-9 episodes that Orvis fly rods are required and Abel reels…. For the most part. An occasional orvis reel too is allowed. But damn they catch some nice fish in Ontario area

I use a pair of the above-mentioned Harbor Freight depthfinders for their intended purpose. One thing I learned through personal experience is to remove them before casting your fly. Other than that slight design flaw, they function very well.
