Finally… the rain gave us a break on the West side (for one day at least) ..so I made a run up to the local flooded rock pit to see if it was fishable. The water was fairly dirty, about 2’ visability, but I tried it for a few hours anyway. And glad I did..
I caught the bass in about the same spot as the one in January… maybe 3+ pounds! I had one other good hit and that was it. With the water so dirty, I slowed the retrieve way down, and used an intermediate sinking line… great fun!
I also got to see WDFW dumping another 12 steelhead in the lake should be about 50+ in there now..
