latest Simms fukkery is a photo of the Simms flagship bld and statement they are going out of business, everything now 75% off. That old axiom now more true than ever...'if it looks like too good of a deal to be true, it likely isn't"Sorry to hear this. Hopefully it wasn't too much.
There were actually a few warnings about fake Simms sites on a couple of threads.
This is an additional SCAM site for Simms sales. ((simmsfishingbigsale.vip)). Do not use this site! Be safe out there.

along these lines, before i started tying, I would buy a lot of flies from sierra.com and always found them to be high quality and a deal.Bass Pro has a bunch of flies on sale at 25% off or more. I just picked up some 6-packs of MFC streamers at 25% off. BONUS -they double shipped 2 packs of dungeons. Got free half dozens in white and yellow!
Thanks! I'll keep an eye on that site. I hope to start tying some flies at some point down the road.along these lines, before i started tying, I would buy a lot of flies from sierra.com and always found them to be high quality and a deal.
From time to time, I still buy some--especially foam-y hopper situations--things i dont want to tie.

I started tying flies to save money about a year ago. So far so good - probably only in the negative about $500 or so. I'm sure I'll be up soon!Just make sure it’s not to save money.

I was wondering about that. Seems like a rabbit hole I could easily go deep down and end up spending a lot of dough.Just make sure it’s not to save money.
It’s a pretty unanimous consensus that you should never tie to save money. Tie because you enjoy it, you like to experiment and/or you can get the flies you want to fish commercially. The only way you’ll save money is if you only fish and tie a half dozen flies and just you just tie them over and over again and not constantly buying new materials.I was wondering about that.
