dating aps and fish pics

Never used a dating app before but my instagram is full of me with big bloody coho from all the gear dirtbagging I’ve done and the occasional pretty trout I share fly fishing.

I doubt there is any girl out there that is finds my fish pictures interesting though as seen in the lower number of likes I get on my fishing posts compared to others but ya never know…
 
It was before apps, but I place a "meet a mate" ad in the local paper that went something like: "Handsome guy who loves to fish looking to meet a woman who likes to fly fish and has her own boat and truck. Please send photos of boat and truck." She had a pickup truck and a kayak.
 
I have known some seriously talented fisherman that simply could not ever get a date. I have also known men that use the fundamentals of fishing to regularly land "trophies". Figuring out the feeding habits, common holding areas and behavioral patterns in fishing...is quite similar to finding a woman. This was taught to me years ago by a seal team guy that was deadly.
