Contacting ODFW about current regs?

I have a question about a creek where I've read in an old ODFW report (from 1986) that said creek was closed, as well as a random forum post from 10 years ago. BUT it says literally nothing in the current regs. It even has a red line (representing a closed system) right next to it (for a different creek). Does anyone know how to contact ODFW so I can confirm if its open or closed?

To be honest, I fished it this weekend (and came to these realizations this evening) and would like to know if I poached or not. As of right now, based off the current regs I feel ok, but I'd like confirmation. Regardless, all fish were released. I don't think anyone would honestly even fish it, it's so insanely high gradient.

Happy to discuss over PM as well.

In Washington if a creek isn’t listed with specific regulations it is subject to the general rules. The way that I read Oregon’s regulations is the same. If it isn’t in the exceptions for a zone it is subject to the general rules for that zone. Someone who lives in Oregon should weigh in. It would be a good idea to contact ODFW.

This was my understanding as well. I emailed them as well, if I don’t get a response I’ll try and call.

I was just wondering if anyone knew anything specific.

What specific creek are you “implying”?
Then we might be able to give you a specific answer.

Holy shit. Look at those tax dollars at work—ODFW already responded and it turns out, I DIDNT poach :). It used to be closed like 30 years ago, but they opened it back up awhile ago.

Opened what up? Don't worry, I'm in North Carolina, is I won't clutter it up and I won't tell anyone. :)

cheers
