SFR Confessional: I kinda hate November

Sorta fishing-related
No whining here, when you are 86 there is no such thing as a bad month-they are all a blessing! Thanksgiving is the only holiday that I actually observe and gives me a chance to be thankful for the wonderful life I have lived and all of the great friends I have acquired over the years. This was a particularly good year and I am happy to head into winter with excellent health, a new battery powered snow blower and plenty of money. It could have been a lot worse had I not been frugal for much of my life.

Life is precious but brief, make the best of it.

I suffer from seasonal affective disorder. It starts now. November is tough. It takes a lot of energy to stay on track and to be patient with people.
November is tiring for me.
If I could swing it, I would hunt and fish every day in Nov. I do believe that would be the best therapy.

Central WA Novembers are just fine. It’s December and January that hit my seasonal affective tendencies. I try to embrace the reset for spring and enjoy radiant heat. A few weeks in a warm place does wonders. The first 50 degree day in February is the end of the gloom.

My folks are in Bham and they flee to SoCal for a beach trip every year about now. I’ll catch up with them at Thanksgiving.
