NFR College Football 2025

Non-fishing related
great game, that head ref should be taken out behind the barn, putting everyone through that for one second

Chris Berman's slowest 1 second in football...

Could go all the way...

Doesn't bother me a bit seeing some of the traditionally-strong programs getting beat in the playoffs. I'm already hearing a lot of complaints on how things turned out so far. You're never going to make everyone happy. The best you can hope for is to please the majority. I am amazed at the continual debating of the playoff system. Conference champ, SOS, head to head results, common opponent results, 1st-game byes, non-power conference selections...the list goes on on how teams are seeded. The most deserving vs. the best 12 teams? I just hope for a few competitive games and some new national champs every once and a while.

Bummer…looking grim with only 2:10 left. Now their QB Taylor got hurt….hopefully not too serious. Hate to see that.

That injury didn’t look good.

Currently over 4,000 players in the portal via ESPN/ Pete Thamel.

I noticed guys have now starting to announce they’ve “re-signed” new NIL deals to stay at their current schools. I wonder if that means their current deal expired or they renegotiated it for more money due to other schools trying to poach them? Probably some of both. What a shit show…..

The Bama fan discussion boards should make for entertaining reading

For sure. Indiana kicked the shit out of us and even so, I think the discussion board loudmouths are not the majority.

Long time, multi-generational, Bama fans like myself are not yelling "fire Deboer". At least not in my family and friends circle. We have been through the post-Bear debacles, losing to Auburn 6 years in a row, and so on. I told my (Husky alum) spouse at the beginning of the season that making it to the playoffs and winning a game was a reasonable expectation. So while I was disappointed in the way the team represented the school in the Rose Bowl, I still feel it was a very successful second season for Kalen/Ryan.

It's 2026 that is the bellwether for whether Bama needs to change direction. Coach Saban's recruits will be gone for the most part (Ty Simpson is a great kid but he's gotta go play somewhere else) and this will be 100% Kalen's team. Given the past two very highly ranked recruiting classes he has secured including the current #2 class, 2026 is make or break. He'll have the talent and his guys have had time to learn the new system.

We have the #2 QB from last year's class waiting his turn, top tier receivers, and the #1 running back in this year's class. The X's and O's are there. Time to coach 'em up and play to the standard. No more time or excuses.

Roll Tide!

Just an FYI since there is no NFL Monday night game this week.
FCS championship game. Go Bobcats!

I’m only 50 so I haven’t been watching college football forever but I can’t recall a time when Bama was unable to run the ball until this year.

I’m looking forward an O’l Miss and Indiana title game. I feel bad for the O’l Miss players who have lost some coaches while they’re in a title run. That kid playing QB for them torched my son’s team in the semi-finals of the D2 playoffs last year. That kid is a stud!

Bama will start to slide. They don’t have the $$$$. Now that the game is about $$$$.

Catch the Carson Beck post game interview. We have spent this year from 6am to 5pm every day to get here. School? Oh yeah of course. Basically a full load. As players we have these …..
Classes include….. Weightlifting 101 for 2 credits. Football strategy 400 for 4 credits. Media relations 301 for 3 credits. NIL studies and money management 201 for 2 credits. And finally the ‘introductory skills and successful
habits to navigate the transfer portal’ for 2 credits. Gives each player 13 credits. Enough to be eligible to play. 😜

North Central over UW River Falls - I'll go with North Central which also has a very strong Wrestling program for girls and guys. Girls were 2023 National champs. Maybe NIL and Corporate influence have less of a hold on DIII programs.

Hell of a play by the MSU receiver.
