I remember the days when Oregon and Washington had awful teams even compared to WSU and UC Berkeley.Well it's always about the money, so if the G o 5 can cobble together enough sponsors and TV revenue, then there would be 2 concurrent playoffs at once, and another 8 bowl games of interest I suppose.
Been reading estimated 15-20K empty seats at the orange bowl today. I don’t know but I did see a lot of empty seats. Not a great look.
As good as the T Tech defense was (Ducks should have had 40 points with all the picks/fumbles), O's Defense was spectacular...I'm going to enjoy my bowl of oranges, then go get a bowl full of peaches. A good defensive battle. A shutout against a good Texas Tech team was outstanding. I was a little miffed when we tried 4th and short plays when an easy 3 was available. I was bragging up our field goal kicker and must have jinxed him cuz just then he missed one. Atticus automaticus missed one. Hope the D is just as good next game.
Bye teams now 0-6. Hahahaha!
I love it. NCAA doesn't know what the hell they're doing. They're trying to create a March Madness type...thing for football. It will never work. The parity in football is ginormous compared to hoops. Apples & oranges!
CFB playoffs should be top 8 P5 teams max. No byes for anyone. 1vs 8, 2vs7, etc. The current method is flawed big-time.
Well, this is the current governance of the CFP- https://collegefootballplayoff.com/sports/2019/4/3/governance.aspxThe NCAA really has nothing to do with the current CFP. ESPN and the CFP selection committee are the ones steering the ship.
Follow the money. The NCAA is pretty much a powerless entity these days.
