I’ve been preaching this. Kiss the bowl games away…. They will be a thing of the past soon. 🔜 You can’t have bowls games being a lead in to another game. Bowl games are meant to be the end. Anyways we are seeing low crowds(empty seats all around) on some of these bowl games. Thin the herd and go to 32 teams. No bowl games. Higher seed hosts. Then the final game can be a bowl game. But good luck drawing crowds.

As a parent I can not afford to send the kid to multiple weekend games. Pick one !!!

As a parent I hate these last minute arrangements. They cost a lot to attend a game on a 6 day notice.

As a college fan I miss going to San Diego and vacationing/relaxing for a few days and then watching Wazuu kick some ass in a bowl game. As a college player I love going to San Diego and having a few days to play around and explore and share sites with family/friends/others.

(This is no longer an option). It’s a business now. Make money or shut up!!!

But most college students don't, and never have attended bowl games.
They just roll out of bed, crack a beer, eat some leftover pizza, have a few bong hits and watch the game on a pirate streaming service.

No there was a day they traveled. They traveled with family etc. They would go south especially from UW and WSU. Frats had meet ups, alums met uo, etc. then have their bong hits, do a couple shots and head to the stadium to be loud!! Not so much any more. It’s dead. Bowl games use to be a reward for the students too. Not any more.

I will take any college game and/or bowl game, over the news. These 5:00pm and 6:00pm games are perfect for not watching the news...

Nothing was more special than getting to see the Huskies play in the Rose Bowl new years day. I don't care for these playoffs and focus on rankings. It's college for crying out loud. The exception goes on to the pros.

Had a friend drop 7K + for UW game a couple years ago. Flights and hotels were outrageous. He had spent 5 k the prior weeks before for the PAC 12 Championship game. He sad he couldn’t afford to go to the Michigan game after his expenses on the other two games. Pick and choose. !!!

I watch very little TV, mostly sports, and 90% of that is football.

You couldn't pay me to watch cable news, or local news. Absolute waste of time.

YMMV

Wow

That's fucking nuts

I'd never spend that kind of money for watching a live sporting event...but hey...12 k to watch 2 games floats your boat, go for it.

But these are the things that happen when you want to attend live to games and on short notice… not knowing if your going or not. . Tickets to game $$. Flights $$$ hotel accommodations..: they get you with three or four minimum night stay knowing game in town.
Might be cheaper if you plan a head but hard to do in (gamble) September/October for January games. 😉 It’s not for the frugal !! 😉

I used to print out the Bowl Game Schedule (similar to March Madness); then me the bro would place a brotherly wager as to who pick the most winners.

These days I could careless about college football.

Going to OT.
SF

Go Horned Frogs !!!

Great game! OT makes it even better!

I enjoy it when they let the players play on both sides...

USC did some serious whiffing on that last play.
SF

Lol

Tackling

It's a thing, even in OT.
