It will be interesting to see how many IU staff will stay on board. Also find it interesting that JMU did so well this year even after losing some of the IU head coach tag-a-longs!

He obviously did an excellent job recruiting based on their success with the players that didn’t follow him to IU. Cignetti’s replacement, Bob Chesney turned his ex players into the UCLA HC position.

I did learn one thing from following the West Coast Collegiate Baseball League and that is having money and more importantly a good management team running it is more important than the players that change every year.

I suspect that is also the near term future of college football. College football outcomes are going to be just as boring as Major League Baseball for the next few years.

BUT, what I really don't understand is WHY the University of Oregon, a public institution, is PAYING the Disney Corporation to continue having Donald Duck walk the sideline. I do know for a FACT, that there are other duck species in Oregon other than Donald!!!

Back in the day we had an Athletic director named Leo Harris who was a personal friend of Walt Disney. Walt agreed to let Oregon model their Duck after Donald. Nowadays Oregon pays a portion of the proceeds of each item with the Duck logo on merchandise. I've never heard of any agreement that they pay the Disney corp. to "walk the sideline" The last I thing I read was that the portion was 6% of each sale. But only on merchandise where the Duck likeness is displayed. And as we all know the Duck is the coolest mascot in the country. GO DUCKS !

I met a badger on a Forest Service in north Idaho. He thought I was trespassing and attacked the Forest Service truck.
We found it amusing.

If that had been a Wolverine I suspect he would have demolished the truck and we would have been walking 30 miles to the Ranger Station.

I encountered a Wolverine back home one time. It swapped ends & disappeared. 3 miles later I saw another one. I sincerely doubt that it was a different one. Since I had just arrived at my Jeep, I thought it prudent to leave.
