Always liked Boise state. Hawkins /Petersen era was interesting…. I like to think they and or of some coach like a Petersen or Deboer (uw) stayed then their programs become big. We all know that our Own husky man Don James was targeted many times …..but he didn’t leave. His line was ‘ I can’t leave they have treated me an us so well here, besides we can compete for the natty’

There’s a coach in Spokane who gets it. 😉 Few do ???

I say the real challenge is become the new big deal. Deboer could have made UW a formidable obstacle every year. He could have been a trunk and let leaves fall to go takeover or build new programs at other schools. Wish Deboer well. He’s a very good coach and manager. But I think his life would have been easier here at UW and he could be in the CFP a lot of years and be given grace when not. He’ll be given very little grace when not in it

No slam on the Cougs, but without an AD he really had no loyalty to anyone after only a year.
Coach a Big 12 team or a reforming PAC 12 team? That would be easy decision for most coaches. I’m not saying it’s right, but it’s steps higher on the coaching ladder.
I think the transfer portal is going to be very active this year.

That is true with DeBoer regarding having it made had he stayed. A lot of his success though was with Petersen’s recruits. The class Fisch just signed is the highest rated class in a number of years. As a Dawgs fan, I totally expect Fisch to get antsy and be out of here in a few years and we’ll start over again.
You just aren’t going to see a lot of Kurt Ferentz, Kyle Whittingham type longevity in one place in the future. Mark Stoops and Mike Gundy found that out.

I hear it's lovely this time of year, but he was at SDSU, so it's a climatic upgrade.
 
Troy JMU has been a better game, but JMU just got a TD to go up by10.

Tomorrow could be the ACC’s worst nightmare if Duke wins.
As if having a five loss team playing for the conference championship is bad enough, your championship game starts at the same time as the Ohio State - Indiana game. 😂

Good riddance to getting rid of Jimmy Rogers.

The Cougars have hardly ever been a very good team. But they were always fun to watch.

Rogers made them a boring, mediocre team. It has been hard to watch the boring Cougar games this year.

WSU needs to bring back the COVID coach. Berkeley should have hired him as head coach. He is still available.
 
Yeah this game is looking like another bust for viewing.
