College Football 2024

I gave up on it early on. Shows what I know...

WSU-Syracuse game on today at 5:00 pm on FOX.

When I graduated from high school in 1955 there were 7 bowl games and they actually meant something. Getting into one of those games was a major accomplishment for any team and the idea of skipping such a game was unthinkable. Fast forward 69 years and not only do players skip games but coaches as well and even entire teams. I think perhaps WSU would have been well advised to sit this one out also. Thirty two players in the transfer portal? C'mon man, this whole NIL/transfer portal thing has boiled the life out of college football and left a sticky sludge that is going to be hard to wash off. I would like to see the Cougs beat the odds and actually win but what are your chances when you lose 32 of your team mates?

Over 30 bowl games and none of them called the Toilet Bowl? How about some truth in advertising?

Yup

WSU was runnerup...
😁

How did the dachshunds do against the Coogs ?
😁
Things that matter...Oregon teams...meh...

Coogs up 7-6 so far tonight.
Go Coogs !!!

What matters: a very entertaining game

And this one IS!

Unbelievable, WSU ahead at end of 1st quarter 21 - 14.

There is only one fly in your google ointment. Conference championships aren’t determined by overall record.
They are determined by conference play, regardless of how many teams there are in the conference. 😉 Go Beavers!

Yup
The stonedfish is correct.

Pains me to say so, but the Coogs finished a strong second in the conference.

There is no more College Football (sports). There is Professional Football, and Professional Football for kids 18 - 22. Corporate greed at its finest!
