College Football 2023

The Huskies will not get past Georgia , no PAC 12 team could .

I believe you said the same thing about them not beating Oregon before they played last night.
The Huskies seem to be in your head. πŸ˜‚
Hopefully if they play Georgia, it won’t be 49-3, lol.

Congrats to the Dachshunds on their season.
The players and coaches did a fine job, and hung tough when they needed to.
Experience matters, and the 5th and 6th year players were rewarded for choosing to stay and play this year.

God that hurt...but they deserve credit for their season

I was trying to figure out why Michigan was playing such a low ranked team for the Big 10 Championship. Instead of asking on here (most of you probably know) I did my own investigation. Because the Big 10 has an east and west conference, Iowa gets to play them for the championship. If they don't give UM a game, I would rather see the UM play one of the other higher ranked teams instead, OSU or even Penn State, both ranked much higher than Iowa. But the Big 10 isn't sending me any checks for any consulting fee so they can do as they please. But it just seems odd playing the 16th ranked team when two others within the conference have a much better ranking.

Strength of Schedule (SOS) gets a lot of discussion as to who should be in the playoffs. FS, UM, and UG all have pretty low SOS compared to some of the others (63, 53, 58, respectively). Big 12 Champs Texas with the highest SOS at the list I looked at looks pretty good with one loss, even compared to undefeated teams with SOS list in the 50s or 60s. Undefeated Pac 12 champs UW at number 23 on the SOS list looks pretty impressive. Seems like they would have a case being higher than number 3 with their SOS and 5 wins over teams ranked within the top 20.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out, with a few more championship games being played later today.

The Pac-12 was similar until this year. If we still had "divisions" then AZ woud have played UW yesterday...not the Ducks.

BTW, here's some serious rivalry $hit for you....

My source is referencing P12 teams and conference championships

That list is not accurate or it is incomplete in that it does not contain all the teams that have won the PAC12 Conference Championship.

Washington St. was conference champion in 95 or 96 with Ryan Leaf. Thats why that went and played Michigan in the Granddady of them all, Won it in 2002 with Gesser as the QB.

Not to mention Utah won it last year??

Or am I missing the point of the little brother has zero comment, I mean sometimes I'm pretty thick in seeing things. 😁

Is there anyway for the SEC not being in the CFP? That would be football shattering. One can only hope...

This should be a great 2nd half to watch.
Hopefully Kirby or Nick don’t blow an aorta.

Its gonna be interesting depending on how this plays out. A close Bama win makes it interesting. Texas creamed OSU. If FSU romps on Louisville. (How do you not take an undefeated power 5 team? Michigan wins > in. FSU wins > in? ..... Bama wins > Bama out and Georgia out? Texas in? We cant leave Bama out after beating Georgia? But Texas beat Bama. Lets look at how dominating the teams were throughout the year.... did the teams dominate or just ease by? UW get screwed?

Remeber last year snub? and if you take the time to read it.... could a case be made again for their lack luster win over ASU?

I dont think it will happen but I didnt like the interview recently with a member of the CFP comittee, paraphrasing here...We always go back and look at the totality of the season and how the team did, who they beat and how they beat them. As I believe there is no way a undeafetd power 5 team should not make the CFP.
