College Football 2023

Nice road win for the Huskies, beat MSU on every level. Our offense is ridiculous, and I was happy to see the defense play well, they were alot more physical than MSU and had good depth. We have alot of guys that like to hit and inflict damage. Tybo Rogers could be that missing link with the running game.
Coogs win
Next up in the Colorado sweep.... Coach Prime

😀😃😀😃😀😃😀
😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😉

Pac-2 Championship this weekend...
😁
Go Coogs !!!

I actually like the Beavs, just not this week...

I've neve been a fan of the Big-Many...so that is a fine place for Ducks, dachshunds and such to reside...
Keeps the sports hate all in one conference.
😁

Which reminds me...

You know how they have the Pac 12 logo painted on the fields? Oregon State and Washington State should paint out the "1" on those logos.

Actually, I also like the Cougs. My good friend, Dave Engerbretson, taught at Washington State so was, of course a Coug fanatic. Also, at one time to become a Vet you had to attend classes at Washington State and Oregon State. So you'd see vehicles driving around Corvallis with a Beaver and a Cougar sticker on the windows. There were a lot of students that were half Beav and half Coug.

So I guess, considering the history of the two universities, it's fitting that the two who didn't bail out of the Pac 12 is WSU and OSU.

Funny...jogged a memory.
I went to an estate sale years ago and there was a black and white pic of some folks fishing on the Henry's Fork, and I could be wrong here as it's been over a decade I'd guess, but I think Dave may have been one of them...
I'll see if I still have the photo, it was framed and matted, with some notations on the back.
Will try and dig it up and see...

A lot of chatter about whether Michigan St will make a run at Jonathan Smith at Oregon St once they fire Mel Tucker.
I don’t see him leaving the Beavers based on what he has built there, but you never know.
Nearly $5 mil a year is a lot of cash in Corvallis.

It wouldn't surprise me if Smith moves on... as will most the best players and coaches. That's the part of the destruction of the Pac 12 that is really going to hurt OSU .... and most likely WSU. Players wanted to play in the Pac 12 and coaches wanted to coach in the Pac 12. They didn't want to play or coach in the Mountain West conference.

So if that's where OSU and WSU end up, we sure as the devil will have a hard time recruiting good players and coaches.

BTW, Mossback, Dave was a guide for all over the YNP area and Idaho so there's a very good chance that the photo you've remembered is indeed a photo of Dave.
