Some nice chum fry patterns being posted in the "What's in your vise?" thread.
Anyone seeing any yet?
Haven't seen any myself but it is getting to be that time I suspect there should be some around.

Man I am excited for this, after being away for 20 years and now back home in PS I can't wait for this to start, have also enjoyed seeing the patterns. Been super busy with move etc but free time is right around the corner for me and I'm stoked for a full season experience on the beaches.

I haven't seen any but am unsure if big numbers travel over the local to me beaches, still in the steep learning curve, fun stuff.

Chances are whatever area you are moving to you'll encounter some fry.
Some areas of course have more then other. Get our favorite beaches because coming up at this time next year you'll have both chum and pink fry. ;)
Good luck out there.

Got a call from a friend last night with a report.
He fished mid day yesterday and ended up with over a dozen fish to hand, all on chum fry patterns.
What was interesting is that he said he saw no fry but fish could be seen actively feeding.
He mentioned it being choppy due to the north wind which may have played a roll in no fry being observed. Also interesting is that none of the fish he caught were post spawn. He said they were nice, fat and bright with a couple in the 18” range.

I saw no Chum fry yesterday where I was, but did notice some pretty active groups of birds in the middle of the bay...
