Cell Phone Pics

Them strays are sure trying to get it done! Lots of this going on. There's a fish guarding just off the redd opposite center.

And a few singles about still as well. Noticed the fungus helps them blend in better on the redd but they stand out here.

@SKYKO - Steen’s?
Yep - Spent a few days in the Steens and Malheur, never disappoints. I prefer late May or early June, virtually no other people then and the wildflowers are starting at the lower elevations, everything's green and lush etc. This time I was hoping for some turning Aspens but just a bit early, tons of wildlife, no pics as the cell phone just doesn't capture them well at distance. Bit crispy out there right now, could use some rain/snow. Great place to hang out and chill.

Great pics! You really captured the ocean's "mood". We were actully a ways off the edge of the Continental Shelf. Basically where the Pacific plate is buckling as it's being subducted under the North American plate. You could say we actually went "abroad" in a geological sense.
@PurplePerdigon did capture what the ocean was serving up on your trip. I sure wish I'd been able to get out on one of the trips this year. I've really enjoyed all the posts and pictures from PNWFF members braving the elements.

While I am still trying to put into words Monday's experience, here are some video clips I took during the ride out to the tuna grounds. The 8' swells (thankfully negligible wind, <5kts) made for a fun and at some points bumpy 2.5 hour ride out. Hopefully this counts as "moving cell phone pics"(?) and not too much thread drift. ;)

It was better than any roller coaster experience (and certainly lasted longer). Sitting on the outside seat also put my rain gear to good use against the spray.
