Last Saturday we left Redondo Beach and headed home; 405 out of LA? Lots of fun for a country boy and his country girl wife. I don't find the Central Valley (I-5) to be scenic but that certainly changes once you get past Sacramento. Very nice picture, Guy!Agreed on the edges, but we had our fill of that valley today. Another OK shot from much further north.

Jeez! I just got off the phone with our daughter: 40F in Redondo Beach (wind chill).............. warmer in Eprhata. ;-)Thanks Pat,
I enjoyed the Redondo beach pics. We're on a less recreational mission selling and delivering my MIL's car to our daughter in Phoenix.
I was boring my wife with geology stuff on the way down. Mostly wondering where the San Andreas Fault was. Turned out we slept on it in Frazier Park last night. The other big surprise was waking up to SoCal snow!

Headed East on 62 after leaving Joshua Tree. Looked a bit sketchy at times.

The even sketchier sounding (I shit you not) "Sheephole Valley Wilderness" area turned out to be nothing short of stunning. Absolute wiilderness. The only sign that humans even exist in this immense area is the road itself.

Nope, but just watched the trailer. I can safely say if either of us had seen that 2006 film, we would've been thinking about turning around.IDid you ever see the movie "The Hills Have Eyes" ?![]()
