Woke up this morning, no "marine layer", the sun was out. Odd - the beach was nearly deserted:


Malibu is off to the right (somewhere)..........

I was starting to chop some garlic when I noticed the sky was coloring up beautifully. Headed down to the beach:

@fatbillybob - perhaps you can tell me what the birds and dolphins and who knows what else were feeding on: Two huge "bait balls"(?) Crummy picture - there were dozens and dozens of dolphins, some perhaps less than a 100-feet from the shore. I'd never seen the dolphins so explosive as they were on these schools of bait. Brown pelicans were diving into the mix along with birds I couldn't identify.
