Celebrating Our 250th Anniversary

I was on a family vacation in DC on the 4th back in the 70’s. I still have fond memories of it.

Having read and watched reports of foreigners experiencing America while attending World Cup matches, I've concluded that I'm happy to be an American because of Ranch salad dressing, BBQ ribs, free re-fills, and large portions of food compared to the rest of the world. Oh, and air conditioning. Watching Brits experience AC is absolutely hilarious! We got it good is an understatement.

God bless America!

My wife and I were invited to a friend's place for breakfast along with about 30 other people many of whom we haven't seen or talked to in far too many years. It was a lot of fun to catch up. The hosts are retired orchardists who now donate much of their free time to working (for free) at the Food Bank.

I'm sitting in my air conditioned mancave debating if I should tie a fly or take a nap; maybe both. Such a First World decision.
