Thread drift: @Engee and I had launched my boat on the Columbia and motored to a big shoal. After a bit nature called and I headed back to the launch leaving Engee to fish the shoal. As I came back towards the shoal, I killed the outboard and started poling towards Engee. All of a sudden I see him start to set on a fish, the rod jerks out of his hand and he dove in for the rod. He came up with the rod and landed a big carp. What a hoot. Oh for a video.
