Ok, 1.0 was decent, but the 7/16" platform was not as strong and stable as I wanted. It was also noisy. The camp chair was not great paddling and also very noisy. And it wasn't fishy! Never landed a capr on the damn thing. That's probably not it's fault, but hey...

The previous owner of my Saturn raft made nice fore and aft platforms. They are beefy 3/4" and varnished. He also added high quality 6mm EVA foam decking. The Saturn has fairly small tubes with a nice high pressure floor so I think the heavy platforms are overkill. I might use one in the front, but probably never both.
So, I took the saw to one of them to fit the Commander. For the seat...a handed down Samsonite folding chair from the 60s that will probably survive a nuclear blast. It's solid! I wanted a chair for paddling and taking breaks. And one that is easy getting out of.
2.0 is heavier, but more stable and very quiet. And I can still carry it from truck to water. It's still well below it's capacity.
The Playmate Boss fits under the old-school Samsonite and I can still use my anchor system.
I'm using my SpinRX anchor pulley attached to a D ring down to my right and will attach a cheap rope cleat to the chair for holding the anchor line. The cleat is the only thing I had to buy for 2.0. $9 off Amazon.
Not sure if that's fishy, but I like it!
Should be quick and easy. And most important...quiet.
The replacement stripping apron I got (since I left my usual one at Lenice and is now at Seeger's house...Thanks Shawn!!) is actually meant for a Fat Cat, but it fits nicely at the front of the platform to help prevent line from going underneath.
Still trying to sort out our weekend plans, but hoping to test this beast Sunday. Hopefully it gets slimed!
