In the last scene of DAYS IN BASMENT TIMES (the 2009 film), Greg Boffers says to the other guy "look you never know, could be a thief!!"

Always liked that quote. Always like to remind myself that you never know!!

Trying to take a selfie with a shark is generally a bad idea....

Well, I’ve done it…sort of. We were spear fishing off Kaena Point on Oahu off a deep ledge with a live boat…4 of us roll off the gunnel heading to the ledge, which was at 240’…balls of jacks of various types were hovering between 100 to 50 feet above the ledge, a school of skip jack tunas cruising around the bait ball of akule (scads)…I decided to line up a bluefin trevally (omilu) of about 20 lbs for dinner and pulled the trigger long before descending to the ledge…the half dozen of Galapagos sharks milling around took notice and made a sprint towards my speared fish…I then heard two more rifles going off below me and they made a u-turn towards my friends fish, which were much larger. Long story short, I made the boat with my fish without have to make a decompression stop ( my plan)…while I was ascending I saw one of my friends making his way up with a very big jack (GT)…I iced my fish, jumped back in with just my mask and snorkel and watched the show unfolding below me…my buddy with the large Jack had to make multiple decomp stops before surfacing, and the Galapagos sharks were following him, until a big tiger shark showed up… he finally surfaced and wants a picture of the tiger behind him holding the gt…we take his tank and my friend with a Nikonos waits until the tiger, which has been circling him and the jack was in the frame just behind him holding the fish…it made the cover of Hawaii Fishing News the next month…

Can't fix stupid! That includes me too...

I have done my share of stupid things for sure. At least I have lived without a lotta ramifications, so far.

As I get older and older, as well as dumber and more forgetful, I have at least remembered not to do those again.

Unfortunately there are two kinds of motorcyclists. Those who have crashed and those who will crash.
Oh, for sure. I was eluding to the fact the dude was involved in a high speed chase and then decided to go wrong way down I-5 to secure his Darwin Award. No sympathy for him, only for the poor guy he ran into.

Happened over the ridge from where I live. The video is thanks to a couple of friends (Daniel and his wife). Don't run from the Law!
The Perp has outstanding warrants in Washington State.
