CanoeGuy's "destination travel" fish bracket

I spent more time than I care to admit fine tuning my fish ranking and trip priority lists last weekend. I hope you guys find this entertaining. To recap from the other thread, these are fish I would like to catch during retirement travels. The ranking is based on these priorities and weighting:

Points	Criteria
30	The eat - sight fishing and/or topwater on one end trolling on the other
25	The fight - speed and acrobatics over endurance (not so interested in pulling on a fish for 30+ minutes)
20	Cool factor - size, teeth, color, etc.
15	Lives in an interesting/pleasant place to visit (sweating is better than freezing)
10	Challenge - sometimes easy is good sometimes hard is good

Here is the final seeded bracket:

I fully expect that there will be some early round upsets as my preferences are not mainstream - permit at 16! I will do 1/4 of the bracket every few days.

First round is complete. Here is the updated bracket with "upsets" highlighted in yellow. I do have to say bonefish over sailfish and Blue Bastard over Triggerfish are big surprises for me.

Since I have caught yellowfin and albacore, the tunas got a tough seed. I certainly have destinations with tuna on my list - 2 of the top 10 trips would include tuna fishing.

Permit did too with a tigerfish. There are also 2 permit destinations in the current top 10 list. For some reason they just don't get me excited. I am sure that will change the first time I see one!

Australia is well represented - a Wessel Islands or Cape York trip will happen in the next few years - I hope.

Here is the sweet 16 from the Cheeky 2015 "tournament" - I feel like the permit got an easy draw to get to the final 4, but then took out the tarpon. I beg to differ. The GT got a tough one with golden dorado in the elite 8. Also, roosterfish got taken out in the 2nd round by the redfish. If I remember right, they wanted to focus on local species.
