Burr Resistant Wet Wading Pants?

It's the season where the seeds and burrs can just coat my trousers from the thighs down. Takes a good 5-10 minutes brushing with a credit card then hand picking before I can leave the field at days end. I got some Orvis pants I love most of the summer, but they are the worst collectors. The Redington quick dry are better but not great.
Just curious if anyone has something they like to wet wade in that doesn't collect seeds when moving through the dying, seed laden vegetation.
Just don't like wearing waders until I have to, and these things are evil!

oof.....I have no idea, but I'd be looking too if I fished there! I HATE wearing waders.

Tom,
Would fishing tights with a pair of shorts be better?
Tights have a harder finish and would be tighter on your legs, so maybe they wouldn’t collect as many or any burrs versus loose fitting pants?

My upland bird hunting pants which have reinforced fronts collect all of those things. Then we have to deal with combing out the dogs…. Maybe waders would be the best, but you will have to clean them out of the neoprene cuffs over your wading boots. The only thing that I can think of would be nylon rain or wind pants, but those would be about a half step above waders.

I don't know, might be worth a try. I wore some light imitation oil cloth chaps when I was actively surveying, but I don't think that would work for fishing.

Thx. I get into a lot of crap, and that's a big reason why I don't have a fishing dog.

Most of my wet wading is done in GI DLATS OCP (also BDU & ACU patterns) trousers. I wouldn't call them "quick drying" but the lightweight yet tough 6.5 oz 50/50 cotton nylon ripstop fabric doesn't get snagged by thorns like my synthetic shirts do, and I can't recall ever having to remove burrs stuck to them. Also the seat and knees are double layer-reinforced making them real good for bushwhacking. I have found them in thrift stores for $5-$10.

*I do regularly have to pick burrs off of my neoprene/nylon cordura wader gaiters in the fall though. Doesn't matter, they have literally prevented injuries to my skin and damaged waders on virtually every trip.

Have you considered Duluth Trading “dry on the fly” cargo pants. Fairly slick finish and they do dry quickly
Duluth's 'Flexipedition' pants are superb for most outdoor pursuits (including mountaineering and kayaking) but I have no idea how they'd work for your burr problem. Very comfortable, rugged, and contain no cotton. Real deep pockets (none of that flimsy net pocket bullshit), good zippers, and sturdy belt loops.

Mother Earth developed so many seed dispersal mechanisms!
