Brown trout, love em! Great photos and story BFG! I spent many a summer night chasing them on eastside WA lakes known for monsters. Caught a few while listening to the Coyotes and Owls (and having my fly attacked by Bats). The toilet flush sound of a large Brown taking a surface (or near surface) fly in the dead of night will test the functioning of your adrenal gland, that's for sure. Grew up fishing them on east coast streams in MD and PA, later in Montana. I appreciate all the trouts and chars, but Browns do have a special place in my fisherman's heart. Kinda what I think you'd get if you crossed a native trout with a Pike.

But there are things you can do with that finger. Just sayin '

Closing eyes now...

Hope your finger heals soon and you can get back to building your rods. My finishing room is almost done and when you get a chance you should swing by.

Thanks Dennis, those pictures of your room looked awesome! Getting older seems like it takes a lot longer to heal…..hardly wait to get back to life! Having fishing withdrawals…..

Hoping you have a speedy and complete recovery.

Looking forward to your next report about the tug is the drug. It will be relished for sure.
