Broken Tip on Sage Rod

Alaska claimed the tip on my Sage X 6wt so I need to go through the repair process. Someone told me a few years ago that the best way to do it was to head over to Bainbridge Island and drop it off in person. Is this worth doing or should I just do it all via mail in? Also, is it possible to order a second replacement tip as a back up while I have it in there?

Thanks in advance!

John

I may me wrong, but I don’t believe they are allowing walk-ins any longer.
As far as a second tip, you’d likely need to call their customer service to ask what the cost would be.

Not sure about now, last fall i dropped off my zaxis with a broken tip and my 3wt ct, it did take quite awhile though they told me it would, didn't have to spend one dime

Your new tip arrives!

I only make fun of them because I hope their teams see these threads and realize they’re slow as frig.

When I had an issue with a previous Sage rod a year or two ago I told them I’m local to the area and can come walk in. Was turned down but I continuously followed up and told them I’ll stop by. It seemed to increase repair speed somewhat.
