Arrowtooth . . .what a nasty fish. One more reason for an electric reel - if I reeled one of those buggers up from 800' I might just throw the whole outfit overboard.

That was super cool! I'm always amazed at the quality of the fishing at some of our deepwater lingcod spots. We are only able to fish the deep spots in area two for the first two weeks of June, and halibut days. The fishing is outstanding and I've always said I envisioned it was just stacks on stacks of lingcod. This video shows quite literally stacks on stacks of em. So rad.

I have not caught a big halibut on my boat but I reeled up a 50 lb shake from 450 and I was sweating like I had run a mile
