Officials say Dodge Park Fire along the Sandy River is contained, Level 1 evacuation lifted

A small wildfire flared up along the Sandy River on Monday morning, officials said.

We have heard it was started by a couple kids that had a campfire while camping overnight on the river. I don’t understand what goes through some peoples head, thinking that a campfire with this weather is ok.

Myself and member @Vandelay Industries fished a Puget Sound beach recently.
There are no fires allowed on the beach and this area has burned before. When we got down to the beach at first light, there was a fire burning from the previous night. It looked like there was no effort to put it out. All the litter around the fire made that pretty obvious. Luckily winds were light. We filled our stripping baskets up with water to put the fire out. Some people don’t think or are downright stupid regarding fires in these conditions.
