Big mudslide blocking northbound I-5 south of Bellingham

Heads up to anyone traveling up I-5 this weekend. A big mudslide just north of Lake Samish in Whatcom county has blocked all lanes of northbound traffic on I-5.

Thus far, nobody is giving estimates on when it might be reopened. A lot of earth is sitting on top of the highway right now. There is a detour around it, but add in some extra travel time.

We had one down south here last weekend near Woodland. Blocked all lanes on NB I-5 for several hours.
