Beverly Fire

Beverly has had more than its fair share of fires in the last decade e.g. 2019...

northern central Oregon is lit with a quarter million acres on fire, with a really bad fire closing in on the town of Sisters which is currently under Evac 1, the northern end of it having already being evacuated.
Jeff Perrin at the The Fly Fisher Place in Sisters spent the night with his crew packing up the entire shop inventory and transporting it to Bend storage.
 
I saw some video of that fire...

Seems like Sisters has to get ready to evacuate almost every year now. This one looks particularly close.

Poor to near-absent snowpack conditions have resulted in 100-hour and 1,000-hour fuel moisture declining well below seasonal averages, with fuel conditions at higher elevations advancing approximately one to two months ahead of normal. Fuels are uniformly distributed throughout the southern and southwestern portions of the fire area, creating conditions favorable for sustained fire growth. Steep terrain further contributes to fire behavior by promoting rapid upslope runs, increased torching potential, and the likelihood of short- to moderate-range spotting.
