...is what my NFC Iconoglass did today several times...not too many fish around here, but just enough.




this fatty didn't really want to stay in the net for long....

what's that saying that that guy who would throw rocks at steelhead would say? "if I spot 'em, I got 'em"....or something like that....it's been a really great season for me thus far and August CAPR are doing August CAPR type things. I've probably learned more this summer chasing these things than any other just due to forcing myself into difficult conditions and it's been fun as hell!

Switched back to my Steffen 8' 9wt today. It's just far more enjoyable in nearly every way (not quite the backbone, but still backbone of a 9wt). Found a few.


Put a decent number in the net, broke off several trying to keep them out of the weed wall, and ended up really trying for the littles in shin to knee deep water....those little buggers are so damn difficult cause they're so damn spooky. Combine that with dead calm in August...perfect practice.
