This has been a really weird spring. I started out catching topwater bass over a month ago in 50 degree water temps. Since that time it has really been hit and miss. The weather has been very unstable with lots of giant wind storms.
Some days are very good and some days very bad and very little in between. I've struggled more this spring then usual but also caught a lot of really good fish (4-5 pounds). The giant over 6 alludes me.
The bass are currently doing their spawn gig in most bodies of water. I recommend covering water. Sometimes you can go hundreds of yards without anything and then get into a shallow bay with just the right conditions and catch several nice ones. Generally I've been throwing topwater with some jig flies mixed in. Recent pictures:

Within a week or so I'll have a new article up on breaking down a new to me DIY pond option where I caught so many I thought my arm would fall off. So check that out when it drops
How's everyone else doing?
