Bamboo rod failure

Bamboo failed just above the scarf.
At least it failed on a nice rainbow while I was demonstrating my version of the tuna set. Unfortunately, the fish swam away as I retrieved the rod.
Going to try repairing the rod by cutting a new scarf and a solid repair wrap. Might use some ugly thread just goat Bambooflyguy.

After examining the scarf/bamboo…….all pilot error! No goat necessary.

Finished filing down the scarf, everything lines up pretty good so applied Tight bond III and zip ties to clamp it down for the curing process. Repair wrap and epoxy coming soon.
