Roper graciously invited ParaAdams and I to Glenn Raven ranch for a couple days of fishing. Who is this masked man?

We caught hard fighting, well conditioned rainbows the first day on a lake which is a stones throw from the canadian border.

The were capable of straightening a fine wire chironomid hook...

On the second day we found cutts working in the shallows off the boat launch. Ron caught a fish without even getting into waders...

I found cutts on the wind-stirred shore at the end of the lake. Nothing around but me and the fish and the lupine...

A damsel fly cast to shore with a sinking line would be grabbed as soon as it cleared the stirred up water against the shore. Was glad to have a 9' 4 and 7/8's ounce Winston bamboo rod with plenty of backbone to handle these chunky fish.

At Roper's suggestion Para Adams and I stopped for hazy ales, corn cakes, onion rings and a BLT sandwich at the Milepost 111 brewery in Cashmere on the way home. Not to be missed.
