Bad cold or something viral

The flu viruses mutate as they lap around the world, epidemiologists have to commit to manufacturing 6 months before the local flu season, and this years HSN2 subclade K is notoriously resistant to both vaccines and past exposure immunity.
And meanwhile, Avian flu has been getting a toehold in at Uno Nueva in CA , and if that mofo jumps species, it will get ugly.

Last flu shot was around 2002, I don't think I've had it more than 2 times since then. I can't even remember the last time I had it honestly.

It seems every year that the flu vaccine is only partially effective. Somewhat effective is better than not at all IMHO. The people make their best educated guess based on what is happening half way around the world. It takes time to create a vaccine and ramp up production.

It is what it is.

I have read at lot of research is happening to create a wider spectrum generic flu vaccine. Hope it happens sooner than later.

TRAVERS DOESN'T NEED A FLU VACCINE! TRAVERS GIVES THE FLU THE FLU! JUST LIKE CHUCK NORRIS DID! HAHA!

I know five pharmacist from Costco and Safeway. They give the flu shot but they never get it themselves.
They could be outliers or flat earthers, I don't know, but they play pretty good golf.

I have a great friend who is a pharmacist. He also volunteers as a licensed pharmacist for the county. He and I discuss the largest trending health problem today. The Gullibility of Infectious doubt.

Perusing through this thread, I'm glad I don't come here for any sort of medical advice.

Working with an immunocompromised population, it's pretty important that I just don't get sick. I rarely do because I believe in science (and vaccines), as such, I get the flu and covid vaccine every single year if for no other reason than respecting the health of the people I work with. Viruses mutate, sometimes rather quickly, hence the need to continually research the best ways to mitigate this.

Boogie fever
I think it's going around

I do the same as I have a lot of older friends and am immunocomprimised myself.. I haven't had any reactions to any of the vaccines including Covid stuff!
