So, for years I used the nice thick plastic shopping bags from say, Walmart, Bimart, Freddies for a myriad of uses about the house, camp and boat. In the boat, I hung them off the gunwale as a handy dandy trash basket, for a days float. Now that those bags are being phased out, I was wondering what you all use to hold trash on your floats/fishing sessions? Im looking for something that wont leak nastiness in the boat i.e. dripping soda pop cans, fried chicken carcasses, streamside trash left by dirt bags.

Thanks for the help and advice.

Collapsible rubber bucket or a feed bucket. But that’s mostly for the cans and bottles, line etc trash. For food trash still tend to use plastic garbage bags.

You could get a nice tote, maybe something that has a nylon inner to not leak. Then wash and re use?

Similar to SF, I carry a trash compactor bag in fishing packs. I also carry a couple of lawn & leaf bags in the car and unfortunately have had to use them more often than I wish to; once filling up two of them at a place I parked to access a favorite beat, that is now gated and posted.

Very unfortunate that all the slobs out there ruin so many nice places we enjoy….or used to enjoy.
I like the Costco bags because they are easy to put in my pack for picking up litter and I utilize them for multiple purposes at home.
