As the weather starts to improve, who is daydreaming about fishing‽

Looking at the weather window and hoping for a BRIGHT SUNNY day with little wind; time to get the pram out and explore shallow flats for caprs............ I think I've been out wetting fly lines about 12 or 13 times since we got home February 2nd.

Anticipation.............
 
Here in the Lowcountry, we are lucky to continue fishing through the winter in relatively mild weather. The redfish school up and leave the summertime grass flats for low tide oyster bars. The water clears, fish are spookier and less aggressive to feed, but the change up is welcome after a hot summer of poling or paddling the flats.

However, by the time April comes around, we anticipate our marsh waters warming, fiddler crabs emerging onto the grass flats, and redfish back on the offensive.
 
Went fishing Monday and Tuesday. Got my hands on a fish so thought I'd chance it against the forecast rain today. Got to the river and discovered I'd left my waders hanging in the garage to dry. I took that as a sign that I wasn't intended to fish today.
 
Madison in July, catching big trout in the crowds.. hoping a long term friend of mine will join us there. I want to get him on some nice fish like we used to catch on the Deschutes.
 
I live on a lake. Have not gone out yet. Waiting for it to warm up some...

Going to the Yakima with Jake on Sunday! Playing with bamboo rods, although my 6wt will be setup with some nymphs or a streamer! Wanted to go this afternoon to Lake Tye, it has been stocked, but it was raining hard most of the day, so I did some stuff at home instead.
 
I am dreaming of looking at Michelle standing knee deep in Madison in July, fully clothed but not in waders. 😏
 
Is it Fall yet?
