Earthquake in Washington: 4.0 magnitude tremor hits state

The U.S. Geological Survey ShakeAlert confirmed a 4.0-magnitude earthquake hit Western Washington on the morning of Christmas Eve.

Being involved with ECOMM (National and state to a lesser degree), this piques my interest. I was awake, up and around but did not feel - hear it, nor was I notified by my Red Cross Earthquake Alert app; which now displays an error that apparently means it no longer connects to the latest USGS reporting source(s).

For anyone interested in earthquake tracking & notifications, I don't want notifications popping up all the time for quakes that have nothing to do with my local - regional reporting area. I did a little research for an Android replacement app and found "Earthquake Alert!" meets my (current) requirements for scalable distance and magnitude for notifications. No ads (at least for now) and no popups or anything in the settings about a paid-pro version. There are some "Most Relevant" 3 year old Poor reviews but the "Newest" reviews are 5 stars.
