Any pumpkin colored rod fans out there?

My beloved XP next to the Bolt which I bought maybe 5-6 years ago on close out. I loved the 6 weight and thought the 7 thinking would be a nice addition. 4-6 years later I have maybe 100 hours on this rod. Have not found the right line for it. The best line I have had on it is the older SA steelhead taper in a 8 weight. No longer made. And the one I had is toast. (This is a 790-4…sitting next to a 896-4 XP.). XP has way more flex in tip. I have tried several 7 weight lines on it but no real love. Most lines being Rio Gold, Grande, even mainstream. Actually the mainstream sink tip III isn’t bad. This is a rod waiting for a line. Or that’s how I will take it. The rod has great properties. This comes down to two simple conclusions. The user sucks. And operator error. Be working on it for next 10-15 days. 😆
So my Halloween rod will come out and be used next week.
 
Oh my gosh. Sorry. A bit under the weather last couple of days. On some meds today
and all. Needed to get out today. Throw the ball to the dog. Played with my fishing gear a bit. The socks was a bit over the top. Sorry about that, but they are nice and comfortable. It’s 6’oclock I’ll be out by 8pm. Sucks being sick. Thanks for letting me share and vent a bit. 😂
 
So, it's a 7wt with an ED issue? Or is it too stiff to feel any loading ? The 5wt I have with me sucked until I went to a 6wt line with a short heavy, way forward head. (Shooting head, I guess?)
Then it woke up and casting was actually fun.
