Studies of fish around the world, both in freshwater and saltwater, find none without man made chemicals present in their system. Little wonder when one considers the ocean is somewhere underneath this pile of carcinogenics.
And meanwhile, the world freaks out on climate change, with far less regard for the chemicals that are actually killing us.

Yes, and over 90% of this ocean pollution can be attributed to just a handful of rivers in just a few countries in Asia and Africa. Our politicians (and researchers depending on their money) always want to discuss these topics as the highest level (world) and then start discussing 'solutions' at the most convenient and 'profitable' level - the US mainly. If this were a hospital and we were triaging as if our lives or the world depended on it like they tell us - we should go to these top offenders and figure out to stop the massive bleeding before we put bandaids on little scrapes and bruises.

dead right...the top plastic ocean polluters are:
  • India (126.5 million kg).
  • China (70.7 million kg).
  • Indonesia (53.3 million kg).
  • Brazil (38 million kg).
  • Thailand (22.8 million kg).
  • Mexico (3.5 million kg).
  • Egypt 2.5 million kg).
  • United States (2.4 million kg).
 
What's really a bummer, at least to me is all the tiny polystyrene plastic particles in our waters.
Its all bad, but at least you can pick up the the big shit.
