If you happen to be in Manchester VT, go to the Orvis outlet store. Pass on the regular store, they just have retail priced merchandise. Also, fish the Battenkill. There is a lot of fishing pressure, and you may not catch anything (especially in high summer), but you can add another "famous destination" water to your list. I am partial to the section leading to NY State as I have found it less crowded
