This was posted on a BC site. Haven’t heard of a lot of these tyers but OMG, a lot beautiful ties. Really exquisite, some of the caddis patterns are insane.

I was just looking at that fly trying to figure that out! I'm guessing all the hair tips pointed toward the bend when tied in, then some of them are pulled forward.
It’s is an Italian tyer I think and yes, I will be scouring the web tomorrow. I’ve seen an ant pattern from Barry Ord Clarke, I think, where he ties deer hair forward and then crinkles it to make cool legs but this is just alchemyyeah, that's insane! I wanna see a SBS

I had tied a folded/bulleted deer-hair ant many years ago. After about 12 fish, they had re-tied mine it to look something like this ^^^. It was still catching fish too.
