This past weekend I (Josh) one of the owners here at Spawn took to the alpine lake scene for my batchelor party with two of my old teammates and best friends. I get married in 3 weeks and this was a perfect way to celebrate. Fishing was phenomenal, the hike in was brutal. Traveling from sea level to 11,000 feet was not easy but the trip was full of laughs, stories, tequila, and a lot of fish! Keys to the trip were having a great selection of midges and large dries. Black was the winning color for the midge in size 18 and 20! Lost my first handful of fish because of my inability to remember how to fight a fish on 6x and 7x but once I dialed that in it was fish after fish. I fished Douglas Sky G 9ft 4wt and 5wt! Hope you guys enjoy, it wasn't a video trip so it's not my best work but hopefully will inspire some of you to get out and chase some of these amazing fish in the alpine lakes!
