SFR AI imagining...it's fun!

Sorta fishing-related
This is artificially intelligent. Something zo did not create could not remove from my page on another site no matter how I tried.IMG_8840.png

Force feeding us AI is the huge developing problem. Not sharing this because I like it. Sharing to make a point that is automatically appeared and that is wrong.

You had fun that’s swell. My ability to find humor in it is lacking. Always ask permission of someone to manipulate there posts. That is something forgotten from the past.It is that passe’ polite thing to do.
Deleted.. I don't need a lecture..

I remember watching a documentary on military use of AI a few years ago…they had a well trained fighter pilot with real combat experience go against an AI program in combat simulation…at first, the real pilot had the upper hand, but as the exercise continued, AI become unbeatable as it learned…the AI had no fear of dying.

Fast forward to today…Anthropic (I believe) is in the news and about to get the hammer from our own Dept of War (DOD) for not removing some guard rails from their software for military use…

The guardrails Anthropic refuses to remove from its Claude AI are the prohibitions against using it for mass surveillance and autonomous kill drones. I personally think that those are pretty good prohibitions.

All sentient animals fear death. We are not sure about AI at this time.

However, in this book the author explores the concept of "what if, AI does fear death".

Sam Altman apparently has similar concerns:

"Altman said OpenAI was seeking to negotiate a deal with the Pentagon to deploy its models in classified systems with exclusions preventing use for surveillance in the U.S. or to power autonomous weapons without human approval, according to a person familiar with the message who was not authorized to speak publicly. The Wall Street Journal first reported Altman's note to staff."

But for me.. It is seriously a hoot to be able to create an image just by talking to the computer. AI is going to be a wild ride folks...Ima gunna try and have some fun wit it.
I’m not a big fan of change. I need to say that upfront. So you can imagine what my opinion of AI is. I see it as a double edged sword, and if it cuts one way, it could be a big problem.

Original Art is less desirable apparently, i figure the potential for occasional sal s for my work involves a lot of variables but it does come down to potential clients and that is a very low aggregate percentage that has disappeared recently. A sales pitch and a tailored or natural personality pitch is part of the game I abhor the most. AI diminishes the interest. I have sold hundreds of works of art since my first at the age of 16 but different times. Not focussing on sales ever has kept me at least partially sane. Though my moniker tells another story especially considering my moniker and those 12000 posts on the old Westfly that I assume are still out floating about the internet ether?
;)
Original art is all I desire… in all its forms.

Here is the thing folks (my thread)... this stuff is real, and it is upon us all now! I just wrote a children's book...it took me about two hours. I did not have the help of the best children book author .....I had the help of all of them!..through AI. Please go back and look at my first two posts in this thread. Those images were not possible to create just a few weeks ago. Nothing in my lifetime has held the weight of AI changing our world, in such a short time. Remember, this image? An underwater photographer would be thrilled to capture this image...I created it in less than five minutes while drinking a beer. unnamed-7.jpg

Its junk. Pure junk.

Bad for the environment
Bad for our energy prices
Bad for employment
Bad for actual artists

And in this new age of "misinformation" - read just straight lying - it's really bad for educating voters.

As much as I dislike it, I really hate the way they are trying to force it down our throats. Writing an email? Here's a suggested response. Searching for some information? Here's what our computer thinks.

In a world that now has smart appliances where people are paying subscriptions for cars, dryers, and ovens this is just one more scam...

Possibly relevant (but hopfully not), AIs engaged in wargames with each other went nuclear 95% of the time:

And this scary warning from a 2000 video regarding autonomous kill drones:

Think of all the movies made over the years…
The predicted outcomes of Ai (and robots for that matter) have already been realized. And yet, we humans are stupid enough to continue to pursue it. Scary shit for our future!! 😳

Anthropic red lines . Limitations and military the two terms seem in complete conflict to me and always will be. Power corrupts. Endlessly. Because we can we will. But a different we . I have enjoyed my life. Its been interesting and a pleasure.
