Don't expect minions to get crossways with either the council or the administration...which often have diametrically opposite views.

This initially was a light of the moon thing but I think there's now enough eyes watching that something more reasonable will result.

Are they responding to your Public Records Requests? Remember, under WA Public Records law they are not required to compile or create records tailored to the request. You only get what exists, in original form.

yes they are responding. its not my first rodeo. i have a massive request in with WDFW at the moment.

Depending upon how well they're complying with PRR document retention requirements there may not be much left to see. Governmental attorneys strongly encourage lawful destruction of public records at the earliest opportunity. It's only a PRR law violation if the record is found and you didn't get it.

Responding may take a long time, since it also has to be reviewed by legal staff. Ever see attorneys do anything rapidly? :) Even in government attorneys charge billable hours against other departments in the same governmental entity.

i have not had any issues with FOIA requests from WDFW. the public information officers even call/email to clarify what documents and if anything, have been super helpful. im gettting things like all the published technical papers, years of enforcment/creel check type data, etc.

i do understand that not all "police" are as forthcoming with information. ive never tried to FOIA bodycam footage from SPD for example, but I may be doing some of that in the near future.

ive also never recieved responses from WDFW outside of the legal timeframes.
