Of the several tying contests, this was the one I felt like I could contribute something that wasn't too embarrassing. I guess the forum is done with tying contests since William didn't respond (publically). Huh, @Billy? @jasmillo - you tie a lot of very cool coho flies................. no hint there.

I’d love to see what you come up with. One piece of advice: Coho flies are called that because they are for coho, not the size of coho.

Apologies to everyone for the confusion (@Buzzy, @jasmillo, @Scudley Do Right and others). As I stated in the June thread I am taking a break from the monthly tying contest. It's been a busy summer on a personal level and with participation trending down I wanted to regroup and come up with some ideas for future contests for this winter etc.

You all are totally welcome to keep going with the monthly contests if you want. Awesome ties as always everyone

Jeez, Josh - it's 92F already and only 9:30 AM. I was going to go carp fishing today but the half mile walf back to the truck in the afternoon sun? Too hot (or I'm just a wimp).

Saltwater coho flies for a September contest would be highly appropriate.
They’ll be plenty of people tying then as it will be prime time.
